Sunday, Pictures for Dad (Reid Park Zoo) : Sunday we went to the Reid Park Zoo in Tucson with Grammy Janet, Mary Ellen, Aunt Kara and Uncle Dan. Aunt Kara took lots of great photos of Nick's first visit to the zoo (thanks Aunt Kara - you always take such great pictures of Nick!). It was a full day for Nick, who is in the middle of a growth spurt (he normally eats about 6 jars of food, today it was a bit more than 8) and he handled it like a trooper, even managing to fall asleep for a nap at the zoo!

Dalia and Chris Baby Shower and Park : Saturday, April 29 was Chris and Dalia's baby shower hosted by Julia. Dalia is taking her orals on Tuesday, and her due date is May 12th - so she has a lot on her plate. And in just a couple of weeks will have some major accomplishments behind her. Cambridge Common with Luc : Today Virginia took a day off from work, because Luc's daycare was closed for Patriot's Day/Marathon Monday. Nick and Mom, Easter Sunday : I was so focused on Kate and Greg's shower, and Jason on his last day at his old job, we spaced on Easter. We should have had a basket for Nick, but we blew it. So today has been low key, with a visit to the bookstore, to see the ducks and geese and to the grocery store.

Kate and Greg's Shower : Saturday, April 25th, was Kate and Greg's shower, which Virginia and I co-hosted, along with Michelle Dubois and Kate's friend Michelle Taylor-Parker. I did the food (of which there was way too much). I had intended to take pictures, but in the end I only took a few. Julia did an amazing job with the photography, so almost every one of these are her shots, which she generously shared with us.

Sunday, Pictures for Dad : Mike and Suzanne are staying at the Country Inn and Suites at Ina and Oracle, so this morning we went over for an early morning swim. Nick, as usual, loved the pool. Although I had forgotten that in Arizona, with the low humidity, as soon as you get out of the pool and the water evaporates, it's very cold! Nick also crawled around on their putting green a bit, and enjoyed looking at the birds and trees in the courtyard by the pool.

Crayons, Finger Food, and the Cape : Nick has been experimenting with crayons (not drawing so much as dropping) and with some dry O's cereal - lots of high chair adventures. Teething : Nick has been struggling with his teething lately - it's been over a month since his last tooth came through (probably the longest he's ever gone without a new tooth). I keep expecting that he'll suddenly have four new ones! He's been chewing on anything that gets near his mouth - fingers, toys, the zipper pull on his coat, teething rings, blocks, his gum massager. Hopefully soon we'll see a new tooth.

Back Home in Boston : These are pictures from the last week, since we've been home from vacation. Nick was a bit jetlagged the first two or three days, having trouble getting his sleep routine back in place, but he's right as rain now. Jason and I were really surprised to see him back in our space, with his toys, and see how changed he is. Watching him crawl and stand (and since we've gotten home, begun to cruise) makes us aware of how much bigger and more capable he now is.

In the High Chair : These days it's getting harder and harder to get a good photograph of Nick, because he's constantly on the move. He's crawling, or pulling up to standing, or cruising around the furniture. But when he's in the high chair, I can get some good shots! Playing at Home : Just a few shots of Nick playing with his toys at home - we went out and ran some errands today, but nothing picturesque. Just Babies 'R Us, Barnes and Noble, Trader Joes and the post office...but Nick loves it anyway, pointing at signs and fans, and touching various surfaces to determine if they're rough or smooth. He managed to sleep a couple of times as we were driving around, which is a wonderful development.
